    First off, remove #2.
With the other 2 options it just doesn't make sense.

And once you get a EMS, JDM or USDM doesn't matter.
USDM is better because you can still pass a visual.
Same goes for 2nd or 3rd gen. Once you replace the ECU and turbo, it's pretty much the same boat.
The 3rd gen has smaller ports, and no TVIS.

As for 1 or 3, do you want a car that will take off once you hit higher RPMs [4K or so, depending on how much "built to the hilt" really is], or do you want one that has usable street torque?

IMO cars that have torque at lower RPMs are more fun to drive. Much more responsive. Better for a quick pass, quick jump in a hole in traffic, twisty roads, stop and go, ect.
If you plan on alot of racing, especially on the hiway, high RPM power is better.

build the suspension. mid-engined cars are great at cornering. if you want a drag car, get a honda.

You do realize hondas, are mostly FWD, right?

You should have said, if you want a mpg car get a honda.

Anywho, Id stick with the USDM MR2 turbo engine, and build it to 300-360 whp. It seems to be the best tradeoff. Everyone that goes over 500whp never seems to like it as much as they did with lower hp.

Problems being the povspec camry flywheel - not sure what people have done with that to be honest.

    Built 4AGZE.

    :noes:

Seriously though, in my MKI I like to stick with the 4A options. Nothing wrong with doing swaps, more power to you. It's just not something I'd do to my car, unless I had 2-3 MKI's sitting around (I don't.)

If I had to pick I'd go with a V6 swap since it's my daily driver and low end torgue is always fun. Or you could do like Bill and drop in a Northstar V8.

i got my suspension coming in. koni yellows with eibach sportlines. i want comfort. i want an all around car to have some fun with. i don't need a hardcore track suspension or 8 second motor because we don't have a track anymore.

i would love to have a v6, but i don't have the skills and tools, nor the money to pay a shop (i live in hawaii and i don't think anyone has done it here. so i'd be the guinea pig $$$). but it's nice to dream.

worst comes to worst, and i need to go faster/bang turns, i have my bike! hahahaaaa.

I have a JDM engine and it's just cool to have but almost no different from the USDM engine except for the ECU.

Gen3 motor.... all of the revisions are big advantages imho. Id rather just do a Gen3 Motor with cams, tdo6, and an EMS... good for me. Well a streetbrawler would probably be a better choice of turbo too... eitherway.
