I voted no because I think people should die waiting for the SWAT team to show up.
Nah. I'm kidding. I voted yes.
Voted. My father sent a letter to our school President requesting him to contact him about why students can't carry concealed when one gets robbed at gunpoint bi-monthly.
It's amazing the result is so close. Usually stuff on msnbc is massively skewed towards the leftist viewpoint.
They worded the question so stupid. The point of CCW is for personal protection, not so some student or teacher with their CCW hears shooting and 'responds' to the situation. That is the job of the police.
Damn straight. Laurel gets school-wide email alerts from the campus security at least once a week about a robbery or assault on campus. It's amazing how much faith these people put in the police to protect them, yet they are constantly facing the reality that it doesn't work.
Fuck that "no guns on campus" bullshit.
My buddy lives in the dorms of the school I go to. Early last week, this happened:
My buddy heard it, called 911, and was camped out in his dorm with some bits of machined metal that would have made JMB proud. After talking to some other people the next day, he found that he most definitely wasn't the only vigilante in the building.
Ky doesn't fuck around. You'd be surprised how many guns are on campus, that you'd never see because the lawful owners are forced into the shadows.
a girl was raped in the university library in broad daylight a couple weeks ago, they couldnt catch the guy because the security cameras only active when somebody tries to steal a book. then another girl was hit over the head and robbed in a parking garage at 10 am a week ago. campus security sucks so its really students that need to safegaurd each other
My sister goes to UK, and it freaks me the fuck out. Girls are CONTSTANTLY getting abducted and raped, and UK's class schedule (and massively sprawling campus) makes it a fucking free-for-all after dark. Of course, guns aren't allowed on campus, and you are apparently supposed to just call the cops if a group of guys begins to penetrate your anus in a dark corner. Fuck that, She's coming down next weekend to get her CCW, and I'm giving her one of my Kahrs. Rediculous to me that a girl who shoots better than many guys I know cannot defend herself.
Voted yes, obviously.
60 yes, 40 no
When I started the thread, it was 46 Yes, 54 No.
Really surprised how much yes there is now
Voted, 66% yes 34% no
voted yes. bad guys are losing hard on this one
voted yes. I'm all for it.
The majority of the crime in Tally is on/around campus(es), I'd say lawful carry is more important there than anywhere else. (I'm in Tally)
Voted YES. I love reading the e-mails we get from campus security informing us that students were robbed/carjacked/assaulted and that they can do nothing about it.
THR got a hold of it.
burn, baby, burn!
Clearly voted yes.
the poll is muddied by the 'respond to a critical situation'
that should really bring out the anti gunners
not now though - 75% for
Voted Yes. 76/24 now.
