Had some fun with this last night.

Glad I didn't get the retail version.

Better or worse than the first? Haven't heard much about it.

Disregarding the abortion that is their online play , imo its still leaps and bounds better than the first.

I exaggerate about the online...it still works but they just use p2p connections instead of dedicated servers so it could be hard at times to find people for pvp or coop.

legit xenoblade though for wii. easily one of the best jrpg's of the decade. only thing wrong with it i could find was the graphics.

Have you ever played 'The Elder Scrolls' series?

Was thinking about purchasing Dark Souls to play, but noticed that Skyrim is coming out tomorrow and now I'm not sure which one I should buy. I'm looking for a game I can play alongside BF3, but doesn't really need multiplayer.

Was going to buy 'Oblivion' to try out and see if I would be into Skyrim, but think it just might be a waste of money.

I enjoyed both Fallout 3 and Demon's Souls (plats on both).

What about the Elder Scrolls series? I loved Oblivion...logged more than 300 hours on two characters...still have to get around to playing morrowind if I can ever be fucked to install the mods. Can't wait for skyrim.

Elder Scrolls is a sandbox rpg...you go where you want, when you want. When you leave the tutorial, there is nothing stopping you from doing a 180 and going the exact opposite way of where the quest line wants you to go. For reference, I put about 200 hours into Oblivion before I felt like finishing the main story...and I had only done about two or three quests. There's a lot of freedom to it.

You pretty much answered my question.

I'm faced with decision of Dark Souls or Skyrim, but I think I might go with Skyrim for now.

Fallout 3 was only single player RPG I've played, and I enjoyed that more than I figured I would. Skyrim seems like it would be nice to hop on and explore or mess around on when I'm not on BF3.

Dark Souls is the same concept of Sandbox RPG but it's going to be much, much shorter unless you like PVP. I don't think you can really go wrong with either of them.

I plan to get Dark Souls eventually.

But as of now, my choices are: Arkham City, Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, MW3 (...lol), Skyrim or Assassin's Creed.

I plan to purchase them all eventually, but limiting myself to one game for now and it went down to either Dark Souls or Skyrim. Whichever I don't get now, I will just pick up at a later time after I finished the first. Skyrim interested me a bit more because of it's depth and I'm looking for a game to play solo and not so much for multiplayer.

When I play, I like the simple straight forward stuff. Racing and shooting.

Presently trying out NFS "The Run". Seems pretty good. On Xbox 360. You might need to beef up your video card to play on a PC.

MW3 I am a good easy target for the kids to rack up points on. :) Great game graphics.

I still like the odd round of COD 3. The old version. Fun to get the enemy trapped in a house and pump the tank rounds in. I think the cussing by the opposing team members makes it so good. :)
