so today she brought me in a Linda Eder CD... "Broadway, My Way"... It's a series of inspiritional Broadway songs like "Anthem" from Chess and "Don't Rain on my Parade" from Funny Girl and "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha. Linda Eder is like a young Barbra Streisand... very lyrical singer that ends up belting (read: screaming) the last three or four notes of each song... It's so silly... I'm sitting here listening to "I Am What I Am" from La Cage Aux Folles in my headphones... I feel so gay... in a fun, funny way. What an awesome woman for doing that for me though... I mean, she's this old Irish woman with this truck-driver mouth who's basically like: "I don't give a shit if you're gay or not... but put a fuckin' smile on your face." She's so cute. It's helping though I just listened to "A New Life" from Jekyll & Hyde and it's a pretty good bluepriint to getting my shit together... Cliffs: It's nice when people who you don't expect much from end up surprising you in a really wonderful way.
