I owe most to BB.com but every resource counts. ---------------------------------------------------- Hey everyone. I was going to hold off on posting this until I was exactly where I wanted to be... however I feel I've got a good enough baseline to start posting my results now. Let me start out with a short story about how I got started. I am 20 years old. I was fat for most of my life. When I say fat, I mean BF of 30% or more. I was always pretty tall so the fat didn't overwhelm me as it would have someone on a shorter frame.. however I was fat none the less. Back on april 1st, a friend of mine and myself were sitting in my room playing video games. I walked to the fridge to grab us both a coke and brought them back. My friend says "na man I am trying to cut down on the cokes I got to lose some weight" I say "aww come on man.... not going to kill you" So I pop the top and give it to him. I take about 2-3 sips and the words he said really sunk in my head. We both look at each other and decide then and there to do something about the weight. I don't know exactly what triggered that sort of response from us, but from that night on both our lives changed for the better. Throughout the next week we decided to change the way we ate and decided we needed to start working out. We cleaned out my garage and set up my old weight bench with bar... I had about 300 lbs of free weight so it was a good base to start. We developed a very stupid routine that consisted of mostly bench and upper body workouts but we were starting and that was all that mattered. We started working out everyday after work together, and a guy from work turned me onto BB.com. I started reading this site everyday at work, and all night when I was at home. I became obsessed. I started looking at nutrition more in depth and focusing on the things I needed to. I had already gone cold shoulder to anything "bad". such as sugary drinks, high in sat fat foods... had cut out fast food all together and started eating clean protein along with good fats. Pretty soon we started adding supplements to our workouts, such as protein shake... a nitric oxide booster.... fix and flax oil... multi vitamin. About a month into it, we decided we needed better equipment. $1100 later we had a power tower for dips, abs and pull ups. A multi function bench that had a dedicated squat rack on the rear. It could do incline, decline, and flat. We had over 750lbs of free weight and 2 olympic dumbell barbells we could throw weight on for our dumbbell exercises. We were now serious. We developed a routine custom for ourselves, but molded around alot of what we saw on BB.com. We included squats and deadlifts now, and focused less on the upper body and more on the entire body. The results were amazing. I started out on April 1st at 297-300 lbs, and I stand before you today... 227 lbs. Total of 70-70+ lbs lost so far. Despite having a long way to go I feel 100x better and cannot describe to you how my life has changed with confidence, female interaction and how I feel physically. Back to the lifting.... We abused the "noobie" gains to the fullest. I went from maxing 185 on my bench, to being able to about 285x1 now. I went from barely being able to squat 135, to doing 315 for 3-4 reps. I went from dead lifting 135, to being able to deadlift 405 for 2-3 reps. Mind you, this was all in an extreme calorie deficiency with high protein intake. The noobie gains DO wear off however. I have been stalled / losing on all my lifts for the past month or so. Has not been anything drastic however I cannot wait to start when I can bulk and REALLY see muscle growth results. For anyone that has any questions please feel free to post in this thread or PM me. I am posting this both in pictures and in this losing fat section. Also, we did this both with minimal cardio. We would normally walk / run a mile after our workouts. We normally work out 4-5 nights a week. The results for my friend are equally amazing, as he has lost about 65 lbs also. I will let him post up the results from his when he is ready. To anyone that needs motivation... please understand that the end results is 100% completely worth it. And believe me when I say if I could do this, ANYONE can do this. Now, onto the pictures. Here is a few before pictures... at 300 lbs. These are very embarrassing to post however here they go.. I wish I had some better before pictures... however those should give you a good idea about where I started. About halfway through my transformation.. I had gained a ton of muscle and cut a ton of fat. Here are some pictures I did with my weight set when I weighed 248-249 Fast forward a bit more... and you have me at 236lbs. and as I said.. I stand before you today at 227-228 lbs after a major cheat meal last night at a Japanese Steak House. *yes, I love my bucs hat* So... there you go. My goal is to get down to about 205.. as I still have a gut and love handles.... and from 205 I can bulk back up to whatever I set my mind to.
