APR V2 93 oct chip
3" ATP DP
2.25 neuspeed exhaust (yikes)
HKS SSQ BOV
Bilstein PSS Coilovers
Thats pretty much it so far. On stock turbo. Saving up for another car atm.
stock turbo != deadly
Yeah I know..hehe I'll probably end up going with a GT28rs sometime later down the road.
thats awesome...i really always wanted a beetle just to laugh at people as i spool by...my friend had one for alittle...it was hilariously funny to see people look at u w/ a chip/intake/dv and just gawk
I'm not a big fan of beetles, but they look pretty damn good when done right.
wait the stock beetles came with turbochargers?
on some, i think the GTs, or some other next up base of it
Those wheels look really good on that car, nice touch.
aren't beetle's engines air cooled? whats the point of turboing it?
Its watercooled. It is a 20 valve 1.8t liter turbocharged engine from the factory. The engine is also in the front of course.
AKA, its the same damn 1.8L turbo that audi uses in the TT and a few other models.
wtf 2.25" exhaust
I know I know but it was free so I couldnt pass it up heh. Anyway I might put on a 3" GHL catback here soon which I obviously need.
Not that his beetle is air cooled, but up until recently many porsche turbo'd cars were air cooled, so what is your point?
A stock Beetle Turbo S can pull a 15 flat in the quarter :/
The normal turbo (non-S) is no faster than the N/A, but gets better gas mileage.
I believe the N/A version does have a slightly higher 1/4 mile time and smaller mph. 150 vs 115hp(N/A)the horsepower gap it does make a slight difference.
Turbo S has 180hp 173tq
Normal turbo model is 150hp/162tq
15.0 vs 15.9
I was comparing the N/A version to the normal turbo version. All the normal turbo version really needs is a chip and boom there ya go. Unfortunately no 6-speed for the normal turbo versions. Just need a big turbo.
I've got a huge Volvo turbo I'm not using right now
Thinking about custom installing it in one of my cars, maybe most appropriatelly in the '86 volvo 240DL I have, even though the little bastard doesn't work and I have no clue why...
a turbo 1.8 is deadly?? that's news to me
