I have already posted this in OT, but incase I'm missing anyone without a sub or who does not frequent OT, I am placing this here as well. I'm about to put down some coin on this setup so I'd really like as many opinions on this as I can get. Thank you. ----- CPU - Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115202 Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128375 GPU - XFX GX260NADBF GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150330 Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319 Memory - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224 PSU - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 $1,193.95 Now I more or less just threw this together. I am more than willing to change some things around should I heed the advice of my fellow otters. I'm definitely looking for opinions and ways I can improve and become more cost effective if at all possible. I also can't seem to decide on a case. Been looking at the Lian-Li's for a while, but just cant choose one. Opinions on this as well. I haven't built a system since about 03, so I did some crash-course research into what's currently going on in the market today. Give me moar info, OT. I'm counting on you. So, what do you think? ----- Now, when I posted this in OT I had a couple people tell me that as far as the HD goes I should look into the single platter 500 Seagates. Any more insight on this? Also, as far as video cards are concerned, I am so lost on the battle these days. nVidia still a good choice or should I be more savvy with ATI? I'm going to dinner but will be back soon to follow up. Thanks again!!
