You'll finish no problem - just remember to hyrdrate.
Good luck man
yea that shouldn't be too bad, I ran in a 5k yesturday feeling pretty good today about to hit the gym for some lifting in a little bit
I survived. 1hr 28 minutes. Yes its a slow time, I dont care, I beat some skinny people. Go read my training log.
Cliffs: Few years ago I weighed close to 500 lbs. Lost weight, picked up cycling. Trained my ass of.
I'll post pics when I get them off the cameras.
congratulations on the race as well as losing all that weight
I'd like to do one of those, or a sprint triathlon (0.5m swim, 20km bike, 5k run)
duathlon > triathlon
fuck swimming amirite?
a duathlon can include swimming.
A 500+ yard swim is no joke. If you have good cardio it will boil down to how good your technique is overall. With 6 months off its definitely not going to be easy. The hardest part will be the transition into the bike and not having burned yourself out during the swim. This is why most avid triathletes train in "bricks," if you are not already aware of this.
that's an aquathon
Relationships to similar sports
Duathlons are most similar to triathlons, with the key difference being the lack of a swimming leg. Another sport derived from triathlon is aquathlon, which combines swimming and running but has omitted the cycling part.
