My new SV street fighter (now wrecked)
Just picked this up. 99' sv650. $4200
love the naked look
Naked bikes are
Thanks, the headlights are from a duc. Fully adjustable front and rear suspension. Full M4 race exhaust (say no to slip on's). Its a good little corner killer
seems like the exhaust needs to come up a little more, other than that great lookin bike
It is already the M4 high pipe, the connecting piece from the undertail to the pipe is hand made and holds the pipe lower then the piece that the high pipe came with, thus it looking the way it does.
Little more info for anyone who cares, This first link is a great sight for aftermarket hard to find stuff for duc's. This is my bike, no there arent more, its a one of a kind. They just need too update http://secure.speedymoto.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SP&Product_Code=SV650&Category_Code=BFS
This link is just a sweet metal shop. If you ever need any crazy fab work done, i highly urge you to check them out.
NICE BIKE MAN
STREET FIGHTERS RULE
Nice bike man
seems like a bit much
my buddy picked up his 02 svs with 2k miles for 4000 last month.
yeah, well, its worth alot less now. Had a crack whore in a yellow OZ rally Lancer cut me off, miss her turn and slam on her brakes with me about 5 feet from her bumper. Made both of those moves in about 3 secconds. I took a trip over the handle bars. I got lucky with the way the bike landed. Damage was minimal. I had full leathers on so i walked away. I'll have her back on the streets soon i hope...
well it's good to know you're still around and walked away.
good luck on getting your bike back on the road did the whore at least admit that she was at fault?
no, my buddy on a zx11 was right next to her and when she moved over he layed on his horn sp she kept telling me it was my friends fault for scaring her which made her stop in the middle of the road. Yet another case of "i didnt see them"
sorry to hear it. hopefully you learned a lesson from all of this, instead of reinforcing an attitude.
you just have to be extra cautious around any cager... leave yourself room to escape. we cant expect people to become better drivers, unfortunately.
^^ good point, its wierd how now after riding for as long as i have, how much more i see when im driving my car. Just the extra attention i pay to the road now has kept me out of atleast 5 wrecks
i trust no one when i ride.
i avoid all blind spots, never cruise alongside a vehicle, keep a 4 car distance at freeway speeds, and throttle it when someone gets too close to my ass.
friends of mine think i'm paranoid. i just make sure i always have an escape route.
i have yet to lose it after 10 years of riding.
I love SVs!!!! That is a badass bike you have. How does it feel compared to other bikes you've ridden? Maybe compared to something in the 600 area like a GSXR, cbr, etc?
yep.. it does seem a bit much.. i had that same bike minus mods and i sold it for $3500 in 2001.. i loved that bike though.. wish i still had it..
Its an amazing bike, doesnt have the top end of the GSXR or the CBR but alot more down low, as to be expected with the vtwin. They kill in the corners, alot better then the CBR imo. Its the kind of bike that when im ready for more power, i'll still keep it for the track. too much fun
i do this when i see that bike
^^ why thank you
me too, more so when i ride it, and let me tell ya, that gets tricky
she's back, managed to fix for under $300 too
you've got to do that stuff man, I practically got run off the road when a guy made a left turn in front of me... Gotta watch out for those fuckers
good job, dude!
