FIT Need a new myofascial retard tool

I have some chronically tight hamstrings; been doing some PNF which is helping, but still fucking tight all the time. I have a high density foam roller, but I can't get enough pressure on it make it chill the fuck out for a few seconds. Lacrosse ball is too small. What would be a good tool?

Did you do a straight leg raise test to determine that they're actually short?

yes. If you mean lying down--I can go about 70 degrees maximum under my own power (without a strap or helper) lying down before I must bend or straighten my foot to go further.

Other stuff--when I do a glut bridge my hips are tight enough that I can't arch well if at all and my hamstrings want to take over.

softball is good, i use a lacross ball elevated on a yoga block. google it. just set the ball on top of the block, place leg over ball/block, roll back and forth. it's a bit of a PITA, but it gets nice and deep into the hamstrings.
