yea, my gardener living in the casita just told me this as well.. had to walk out there and adjust it for him....

TBH, I am going to change out soon. Between the thermostats going offline constanty (yes I've set them to a static ip), to the delayed response in temperature changes via the app, issues with dust in the smoke detectors and false alarms, I'm out.

Not sure yet. I'd like to integrate the smoke/co detectors with the t-stats so it's all in one app, but I don't think they have smokes, do they?

I went with nest smokes since I already had the t-stats. I had one smoke go bad about 2 years ago. We got a nice wakeup alert at 5am with "Heads up, there's smoke in the kid's room". Fucking lovely thing to wake up to. No smoke, ended up being a faulty unit which they replaced for us. Two months ago we work up to "There is smoke, in the master bedroom" at 6am. No smoke, couldn't shut the alarm off. Ripped it off the ceiling and pulled the batteries. Had to blow it out with compressed air and it's been fine ever since.

I will say the Nest Doorbell has been flawless for the last 18 months. Package drop off and pickup alerts, plus facial recognition and integration with google hubs is awesome. Too bad the t-stat and smokes are trash.

Y U NO HEPA?

Upstairs AC/Heat unit has 3 filters. When I blew out the smoke detectors they weren't even dusty that I could see.
