nothing obviously wrong with the lens,
NWS for gore
what is that i'm looking at?
abdominal cavity of a young female
the big brown thing is a tumor on the ovary
under that is the bladder, uterus, and the rectum..
the highlights couldn't be avoided due to the really bright surgical lights
wtf is it
Usually I hate the gore type shit, but this one seems clean. If there was blood gushing out I'd probably pass out.
Nice pics though.
yeah, for the time being.
what you can't see is the cancer on the cervix, which was invading up into the uterus...
so she had two separate things going on
thats some scary shit hope she'll be ok
I wanted to take pics of my wife's c-section. I was all ready w/ my d80, but my wife wouldn't let me.
we usually don't let dads photograph any part of the surgery.
mainly because they don't understand what's routine and what's not, so they may freakout...
sometimes they faint
they are allowed to take pics of the baby when it's presented to them freshly delivered, still coated in goo.
Could of used that for the OTAP assignment LOL
i always wondered what the medical term for that was. Thanks!
and that looks like quite a large tumor, no?
I prefer to look at rectums from the outside thanks.
and you shouldn't let dads in the OR anyway, it would be a shame to drop a DSLR because he fainted.
at cedar sinai, some dads would set up tripods and professional video cams and lights
they were hollywood types that some people know
others buy a disposable cam
There is no HIPPA (Healthcare Insurance Privacy and Portability Act, two P's, one A) violation, since there are no patient identifiers in the photo or his posts.
sharp lens hope she makes it
Our OB asked me if I wanted to see our baby coming out, but my wife told me not to look. I didn't want to give her any additional stress so I refrained from looking. The kicker is that a week later, my wife gets annoyed that I didn't take pics of the baby coming out.
I have plenty of shots of the operating room and the baby, but no alien shot.
oh snap! you have privileges at cedar?
i did a few years back, but no...
i may still have my badges somewhere though
i have friends there know the ob dept pretty well
NO, it's HIPAA.
but you're right on the point that it's not a violation.
Well damn. As a healthcare provider who has handed out a ballzillion HIPAA notices, you'd think I'd know. I guess not.
I'm a little on the confused side here.
Where are her intestines?
Sweet pics Dubu! I wish I can do the same in the future.
they are all tucked away.
you are looking from the head side towards the pelvis and legs...
the bowels are tucked under everything towards the bottom of the screen.
you are looking at the pelvic floor
