so last week I competed at naga, in 149 no gi advanced I drew Noah Booth (brown belt) as my first opponent. Score was 2-2 when time ran out (although I think I should have been awarded another 2 points for a single leg i got). They made us do 2 more minutes overtime, he gets a takedown and wins 4-2. http://hezkezl.com/cage/ken_noah.wmv The people I went with didn't get to film my gi matches that day, I triangled my first opponent and then lost a questionable 2-2 "advantage" match (not trying to make excuses, I passed the guys guard at the end and he gets an advantage for reverse triangling my head). Yesterday, I competed at WKA east coast grappling (http://www.usgrappling.us/events/richmond04282007/index.php) and took first place in both 149 lbs blue belt and open weight blue belt winning all of my matches (5 total). Definitely was a challenge in terms of cardio and also choosing a smart gameplan for each opponent. http://hezkezl.com/cage/wka_ken.wmv It's been about 3.5 years since I first started training, definitely feel like I've made at least minor improvements every time I competed.
