I am SO jazzed not that I even really need one, but it just made me go I can lift heavy here and not get shit for it.
my gym is so close to the beach that almost nobody there works legs
so i got looks when i used to squat or do lunges
its time to bring Elf to the darkside
my gym has one(1) of those shitty half power racks/ curl stations
Monolifts rule. And nah you don't really NEED spotters, you can always dump the weight if you have to
My old gym had a monolift, it's a good sign.
I am seriously thinking about really getting heavy with it. Scratch that- I'm already dreaming of over 200 on everything. Apparently there's more than a few competitive PLers there too, this is gonna rock.
Main, the DARKSIDE beckons you!!!
i haven't squatted in forever
hill climbing on my bike means guarantees that my legs are sore every day... i've attempted to squat and do hills w/in the same week and it didn't turn out well for either
If you do decide to use it, don't wait until the weight gets heavy. The first time I squatted 405 I walked it out. I decided to go up in weight and use the monolift for 435. I set up all wrong and almost killed myself at the bottom since I was all fubared.
see user text....
But.. you're a girl.. and any girl squatting is hot. Ass shot in thong while squatting 135?
It's not so much that I want to use it, I'm fine with walking out..I was just so happy the gym is obviously geared for more heavy lifting and less "toning"
if i dumped the weight at my gym someone would probably cry from the loud noise
looks cool, how do you use it though? I googled some pics to see exactly what it is.
On a side note, I fucking hate my gym. I did a 99 days for $99 promo and I'm almost done, was at Gold's gym for 2 years before my new gym, which is family owned in my town. Basically, I am the broliest guy there at about 200lbs. The average person there has about 25% body fat, 45 years old, and doesnt work out just talks in big groups of wrinkled, grey old people. XM radio plays all day, on "Flight 26" some light rock/alternative jazz type shit. Talk about getting pumped
Gold's gym was 30 mins each way, it was costing me at least $100 a month in gas just to go there, then there was all the waisted travel time, and the fact that they were sooo fucking packed I had to wait in line for anything. I cant win where I live
I would LOVE to join a serious power lifter/body builder private club.
my mma gym just got one, which was cool, though I havent seen anyone use it so far.
sadly, i dont lift heavy enough weight to need one yet.
Its so you dont have to walk backwards with 500+lbs on your back
Doesn't really matter if you lift super heavy or not. I still walk my squats out but I use a monolift because I can place my hands much wider and get a much better setup. It's a lot more adjustable than any power rack.
i think i would feel unsafe without the pins, as i eat shit sometimes when my form slips, (though I'm getting better)
pardon my newbness, wtf is monollift?
Why do you need a monolift? Don't really see a benefit until you're doing 500+..
You're a girl, but still...
the point was, she found a hardcore gym.... not a pansy ass commercial place
