A mega-prison in El Salvador brought in a second wave of suspected gang members who will now serve out their sentences in the notorious facility that has been criticised over its 'severe conditions.'
The second group of 2,000 inmates were moved today amid tight security to the new Izalco prison, the largest mega-prison in the Americas, which was built to accommodate more than 40,000 gangsters.
Footage shows the heavily tattooed and barefoot men, dressed only in white shorts, being hurriedly moved around with their heads bowed and hands cuffed behind their backs........................

Are they moving people from other prisons (as mentioned in article) or just grabbing people who they think look like gang members off the streets?
Considering it’s El Salvador, it’s likely both.

What sucks is that in El Salvador if you’re a male you’re either a gang member or a victim especially if you’re young. That’s why so many asylum cases come out of there - literally as a poor youth you have no choice but to serve in a gang or be killed by them for refusing.

Sucks that countries like this don’t have things like “a fair trial” and “basic human rights”, to at least give some chance to determine if everyone there actually deserves to be there.
I heard they are rounding up lots of people that are barely affiliated just family or acquaintances
