The new Fearfactory is pretty damn good. Haven't heard the new Soulfly, but i've never liked them as much as Sepultura anyways. I do however have a Soulfly poster signed by Max that I found in a record store. He was there earlier that day signing posters and CDs and stuff, and i guess a poster he signed got put in with the free poster box. So i saw it and grabbed it.
Wow, I didn't even know that Soulfly was still around. I'll have to check both out.
The SoulFly is decent at best. New In Flames > God Forbid > FearFactory.
Don't get me wrong the new FF is great.
Did you go to the God Forbid instore performance at Vintage Vinyl the other day? I wanted to go but I wouldn't have been able to get there in time. Supposedly it was really good.
Yes, as I matter of fact I did.
christian stole a ton of riffs from sir riffmeister dino cazares on this record. a lot of his riffs are carbon copies from older fear factory albums. it's a damn shame that dino left.....they suck now.
i will have to check out the new soulfly.
in flames' soundtrack to your escape is easily the best record of the year so far....i can't wait to buy it.
Soulfly is good, the new single Prophecy is fuckin' tight though, although I agree they aren't nearly as good as Sepultura ever was. The new Fear Factory sounds a lot like Digimortal, but it's alright, I can still listen to it.
you are right about soulfly not having what sepultura used to have with max. since the parting of ways, both sepultura and max have only put out mediocre albums.
Holy bump Batman!
