Hey all, I've got a plain ole 10/22 right now, and I'm thinking about upgrading some parts of it. I use it for hunting mostly, and in some pretty rough terrain. As such, I need two things from my gun: accuracy, and low weight. Given that, what would you guys recommend? I'm thinking that the barrel from Tactical Solutions (http://www.tacticalsol.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=25) would be a good place to start, because its extremely lightweight (8 oz!) and only slightly longer than the stock barrel. A folding/lightweight stock seems like a good idea too, but I'm not really sure which one to use. I'm a little uneasy picking them out because it'll obviously have to fit with the TacSol barrel and they don't have the barrel's diameter listed on their website. After the stock and barrel upgrade, is there anything else I could do to improve the accuracy? It would be fun to get a suppressor for it too, and it would be practical - squirrels are very sensitive to noise, and since that's primarily what I hunt with the 10/22 a can could actually provide some real benefit. How much does it reduce range/accuracy? Speaking of silencers, does anybody know a good site I can go to check out local gun laws regarding their purchase/use? Thanks brohams.
