Does OEM hardware like cd\dvd burners come with jumpers, cables and software?
Usually the jumper since you have to select one of three+ choices. But nothing else unless a driver is required (which is rare as well)
OEM usually has software, OEM bulk is the drive only. just look at the pictures, everything included with be in them.
My OEM CD Burner came with software and a cable IIRC.
Oh yeah, maybe an audio cable, but not an IDE cable. Must not be true OEM if you're getting bundled software though.
Newegg usually throws in a copy of nero and an IDE/audio cable.
My OEM floppy, cd, and hd all came with nothing.
I don't remember whether it came with an IDE cable or not... The software it came with was some crappy OEM no-name software, probably something that the place I bought it throws in with every CD drive or something.
When I bought my NEC DVD writer OEM, it came with nothing except the drive and a jumper -- no cables, no software...not even a box for the drive. There's something techie about getting your parts shipped wrapped in bubble wrap, rather than glossy photographic cardboard.
