Who is into the Nightrod?
Nieghbor just got one and I think I'm going to do the same in spring.
Its nice. Exhaust looks goofy though. But that's always fixable.
I'll leave the "other" ones alone, for your sake mate.
But that sure was one wild spring break in Mexico mang. Whew.
Ive riden one before, its not horrible, i love the look of the bike its the actually ride that i didn't like
thats kind of how i feel
I've never ridden a vrod at all, but I have taken a friends fatboy out. I likes the ride, but it couldn't turn for shit because he lowered it.
The night rod special is a beautiful bike, we've sold a couple already and everyone who has one loves it.
I would have had a v-rod if I didn't have to drag the wife along on most of my rides.
I like it never ridden one. Would like to ride one.
pretty sure I'm pulling the trigger on either the 420, or 502 kit before too long.
the vrod alright, but the only time its fun is wide open throttle. my 95 inch lowrider is so much better. i love the low torque.
i like it.
i wouldnt buy it though
the vrod does look awesome (i've never ridden one) but do check out the midnight warrior. An awesome bike for the $$
Are you on the RSWarrior.com site?
I was looking at those but went into the store to get parts for the CM400 this morning and saw this sitting there. So long my ideas of a NightRod.... Hello deposit on a 2007 Kawasaki Mean Streak Special Addition. The flat paint just grabs me.
I was in a dealership thursday. I want a new nightster
But I want the whole thing flat black, and I'd heat wrap the pipes.
$10k, but the salesman gave me the old "what would it take to get you to buy this today?" line so it can be had for less.
You think this is a 'better' bike than the Vrod? A friend recommended this to me as well, he is a sportster 1283 owner and I hate his bike. I like the idea of heat wrapping. Photochop anyone?
"Better" is so subjective. So my answer is "maybe."
Why don't you like his sportster? If you don't like the ride then you'll hate this, too. If you just don't like the looks but you like the ride then you'd probably like this.
I don't like the way his looks, but he's a bigger guy and looks like a circus bear on it. I haven't had the opportunity to ride it ever, but that could be due to the fact that I avoid personable conversation with him if possible.
Neither one is "better" than the other. They're two totally different bikes.
If you have a license many places will let you test ride one. Bring a helmet and wear jeans and boots. Take a sportster for a ride. I doubt they'll let you take any of the new ones, though.
