Does not deny transfer case recalls?
Nissan has been updating their line ups with better cars (Altima, Maxima, 350Z, Armada, Murano). Infinite line has taken off ever since Nissan decided not to be a Lexus copycat and instead create bold designs. Anyway you look at it Brazilian born CEO Carlos Goshen has done a terrific job.
If Mitsubishi improves quality & updates their lineup then their sales would increase. I'm still a big fan of EvoVIII
carlos is the man!!! relieve a 20billion dollar debt in like 5 years
Yeah, I wish Nissan would grow some nuts and actually recalls some stuff, instead of issuing TSB's. It's a sad day when even VW is recalling their mistakes.
VW nothing. Replace that with GM if you want to talk about a lot of recalls.
You must be new to earth.
VW should recall the trannys in the 03 Jettas. Every 03 jetta came off the line with the WRONG transmision fluid...
They import boring family cars instead of their top class sports cars?
Nissan Skyline would really compete with the TOP end sports here in North America!!!
Not really, considering it's discontinuted even in Japan.
You mean they dont make totally awesome cars that is currently the best bang for the buck?
you mean renault, the parent company of nissan?
IMHO, it looks like Mitsubishi has been trying to be a sporty brand, too. Kinda like what Mazda is now, or like how Pontiac is positoned in the GM hierarchy.
Unfortunately, Mitsu hasn't been able to pull it off. The Evo helped their image a lot, but one car can only do so much. They wouldn't have needed the image boost if they had made such boring vehicles as the Galant, Outlander, and 3rd gen Eclipse. Some of the options available to other markets probably would have been accepted here as well.
Mitsubishi could take a cue from Subaru and start offering more turbocharged models. Subaru has a turbo Forester, and a turbo Legacy is coming soon.
In Japan and Europe, Mitsubishi had the Legnum(previous gen Galant) VR-4, with a special Ralliart body package, a '280ps' 2.5L V6, and awd. There was also the Airtrek Turbo R, a version of the current Outlander suv with the Lancer Evo GT-A's drivetrain(250hp, awd, automatic transmission). Although the Eclipse was not available, Europe and Japan had the lightweight and agile fwd FTO, with a 2L 200hp V6.
Additional models of the Evo will be here. We already have the stripped RS model, and we may be getting the MR-an Evo 'CSL,' if you will-as well. However, Mitsubishi needs to turn their attention to the rest of their lineup, which isn't doing so hot.
Carlos Ghosn = not human!
actually we already get the new nissan skyline.. its called infinity g35.
as for the GTR.. its discontinued until they make a new one for the new chassis.
Did you know they made a short manga(Japanese comic) series about Ghosn in Japan? They love him over there.
Now we'll be getting Ghosn all to ourselves in North America. He had wanted to revive the Datsun brand. Becoming chairman of Nissan NA would put him in a good position to make Datsun a youth brand and give Scion a thorough routing.
The lineup could have a March, Cube, 510 and a 2xxSX. The last two can be based on a shortened FM chassis called the 'FR-S.'
None of them are imported. Proof that you don't know shiiiiiiitt.
It's not discontinued, dumbass.
I need to find that.
If they do revive the Datsun brand, i'll be the first in line for a 510.
Nissan romped that ass. That's what happend.
You mean, make shitty cars?
it was really weird that 02/03 Maximas equipped with the 6 speed trans. came with enough power and options to be on par with BMW 540i and Lexus GS430s.. things like heated steering wheel, navigation, standard HID.. 2 cylinders less than both and FWD.. still as fast as the BMW and Lex..
the max is branded as "poor mans BMW" around here.
the new max is a beast too.. it seems about as fast as the 5.5 gen equipped with the same engine.. but this thing is in a different class.
considering it moved up to "full-size" I would think it doesn't need all that power.. but it can't hurt.
too bad it's one of the ugliest things ever created on the face of the planet
