WTF is it with officers who think that just because they have a little bling on their collar devices, they can throw it around and expect enlisted folks to dance a jig and say, Sir, yes Sir... Case in point. Good parking spaces are scarce after 0700 every day. Anytime after that you have to park up on the hill. A steep hill. Sometimes during lunch, the spaces empty for people leaving for chow but fill up again after 1200. So, I get lucky and find a spot but had to back up into it. Another car was pulling around the corner just as I finish backing in. I get out of the car and as I am walking to my office, the other car beeps its horn. A convo ensues: Officer: Hey Mari....ummm... Doc....ummmm....RP. How about you let me park in that spot. Me: Sir, is there a reason you need me to move my car? Officer: Well, my passenger is Col. Soandsuch and it would be beneficial to us both if we could park close to the building. Me: Sir, if your passenger rates me moving my car to park then he would also rate the proper protocol which would be to pull the car up to the door, you get out to open the door for him, then to find a parking spot until he is ready to leave. Officer: Nevermind. Lazy goddamn AF staff officers.
