First one to correctly post the entire thing gets a one-month sub.
crucial_fiction is googling it right now.
No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned Officer, a leader of soldiers. As a Noncommissioned Officer, I realize that I am a member of a time honored corps, which is known as "The Backbone of the Army". I am proud of the Corps of Noncommissioned Officers and will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit upon the Corps, the Military Service and my country regardless of the situation in which I find myself. I will not use my grade or position to attain pleasure, profit, or personal safety.
Competence is my watchword. My two basic responsibilities will always be uppermost in my mind -- accomplishment of my mission and the welfare of my soldiers. I will strive to remain tactically and technically proficient. I am aware of my role as a Noncommissioned Officer. I will fulfill my responsibilities inherent in that role. All soldiers are entitled to outstanding leadership; I will provide that leadership. I know my soldiers and I will always place their needs above my own. I will communicate consistently with my soldiers and never leave them uninformed. I will be fair and impartial when recommending both rewards and punishment.
Officers of my unit will have maximum time to accomplish their duties; they will not have to accomplish mine. I will earn their respect and confidence as well as that of my soldiers. I will be loyal to those with whom I serve; seniors, peers, and subordinates alike. I will exercise initiative by taking appropriate action in the absence of orders. I will not compromise my integrity, nor my moral courage. I will not forget, nor will I allow my comrades to forget that we are professionals, Noncommissioned Officers, leaders!
I have a sub already but would love to have accord's description under screen name change to "military wannabee"
Gettin ready for PLDC, hooah!!!!
To easy to google it. Knowing it by heart = . Air Force has a bastardized version where they replaced the word soldier with people. I fucking hate the Air Force "corporate" mentality. It's idiotic, not accurate, and does not work.
So much Air Force hate and to think, I want to be a flight surgeon.
Out of all the people in this forum, Brackac and myself are probably two of the most qualified to talk shit about the Air Force.
I was in the AF for 5.5 years, and am now in the Army Reserves.
Brackac was in the Army and is now in the Air Force.
So what's it like? Both my sisters are cadets at USAFA and I want to follow...
And trying extremely hard to get back in the Army. 15 days and counting.
actually this was the last thread I looked at before I realized I had to get in to work
So at my 5.6 year mark I will have more right to bad mouth the AF than RANGER! I've marked it on my calendar.
son of a bitch
someone post the rifle creed
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend.
It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I WILL...
My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT...
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage as I will ever guard my legs, my arms, my eyes and my heart against damage. I will keep my rifle clean and ready. We will become part of each other. WE WILL...
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY LIFE.
So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but peace.
fuckin marines... first i have to deal with them at Bay fest (Marine corp Base Hawaii) then i have to come here and see them try to hijack a thread about the Army NCO creed. hahahah j/k but really just start your own thread already
My drill sergeant made me memorize that at Army boot camp, Sand Hill hooah!
That bay fest looked kind of fun. My neighbor is with her BF down there. He's a Marine. I'm hanging out at the Marriot Ko Olina.
I am the backbone of the United States Marine Corps, I am a Marine Non-Commissioned Officer.
I serve as part of the vital link between my commander (and all officers) and enlisted Marines. I will never forget who I am or what I represent. I will challenge myself to the limit and be ever attentive to duty. I am now, more than ever, committed to excellence in all that I do, so that I can set the proper example for other Marines. I will demand of myself all the energy, knowledge and skills I possess, so that I can instill confidence in those I teach. I will constantly strive to perfect my own skills and to become a good leader. Above all I will be truthful in all I say or do. My integrity shall be impeccable as my appearance. I will be honest with myself, with those under my charge and with my superiors. I pledge to do my best to incorporate all the leadership traits into my character. For such is the heritage I have received from that long, illustrious line of professionals who have worn the bloodstripe so proudly before me.
I must give the very best I have for my Marines, my Corps and my Country for though today I instruct and supervise in peace, tomorrow, I may lead in war.
I'll pm you my number. I have some friends doing the party thing on the 4th at ko olina.
