I just brought 3 jl 12W0's off a friend, I know alot of people here don't like jl's but I do. Anyway I'm not sure what kind of amp I should buy to go with them. I don't want to spend more then $500. Anyhelp would be great, thanks.

What is the rated impedence of each speaker? Why did you buy 3? are they 12ohms each?

I brought them off of a friend, they came with a box, so I just went ahead and brought them. here is what he told me about them "those are 12 ohms a piece all hooked in parallel to give you 4 ohms". Not real sure of the rated impedence of each speaker. I'm pretty new to car audio. I believe they can handle 250 watts per speaker if that helps at all. I was thinking of only getting a 600 watt amp though.

Ok, thats all the info I need. You said you want to spend a max of 500 dollars right? I would suggest something like the Adire revolution, which puts out around 600w into 4ohms, and is around 370 I believe. Or you could get the JBL 1200.1 which is like 300, or the lanzar vibe 1200d. All of those amps are within your budget, and put out a lot of power....

I would use 2 of the subs and sell the third, and get the 1200.1, or the lanzar.

He doesnt have to sell the third, the JBL or the Lanzar would put out a lot more power into 4ohms than 6ohms.
