November 15th is considered "day one" and we will officially be selling one product, Cingular
if you had a corporate discount with att will it still apply?
November 15th is considered "day one" and we will officially be the largest crappy network. I feel sorry for you guys.

if you guys have any other questions let me know.
so the new plans come out the 15th too ?
Man, I hope this means that Cingular will have some kick ass phones when it comes time for me to renew my AT&T contract in April.

That seems way too much!
Sprint offers $15
and $5 more will get you Unlimited Videos
and for another $5 a month you can get all that above and Unlimited TV on your phone.
you're comparing apples and oranges
Cingular > sprint
that's cool...except it's with sprint.
sprint sucks in these parts. my family uses sprint and it's always clipping in and out. a friend of mine's company had sprint service for all their employees and sprint just turned off the tower in the area of his office for good one day, rendering all their sprint phones useless in their office (which was near numerous other office buildings and surrounded by residential areas)
That is unfortunate, Sprint is great in my area (Detroit) and pretty much everywhere I have traveled. I don’t know too many people with GSM phones, I had a cingular phone for two months, it was the worst two month of my life. At first I dealt with the sound quality loss, but then when I would get random voicemails with no initial ring I would call customer service and I could never get anyone who spoke English as a primary language, there was never any record on there computers when I had called before or history of my problems, the bill was wrong both months, I was charged $40 each month more in miscellaneous fees and errors, I just paid the fee to break my contract and it was the best thing I ever did. Except it took more than 6 months before they stopped sending me bills.
Now with Sprint I get great sound quality, never dropped a call, unlimited internet, I have the cable so I can use my phone's internet on my laptop so I can get free internet pretty much everywhere I go, Ready Link to walkie talkie my friends, and a bill that is right every month and simple to read.
I heard that if you are an ATT customer and you want to switch to a cingular plan they are going to charge you $18? I would just love to see how many headaches cingular and att customer will have when they try to convert all the att customer information to cingulars billing, I can only sit back and laugh. I was in a Sprint store the other day and talking to one of the sales people she said she has been switching more people than ever over from cingular and att because of all the problems they are already having.
well every company charges for upgrades. You think $18 is bad? Whats verizon's upgrade charge?
the billing system isnt going to be bad. it'll be a smooth transition.
theres no way that sprint has had people come in and activate b/c of legitimate problems b/c as of today there havent been any. NOTHING has been done structurally or functionally. hell, the buyout was only approved a couple days ago. thats just plain ignorance on sprints behalf to make that claim
i actually returned my T637 today. the 30 day return period was up and i decided i'd rather wait and make sure i remain happy with the service and customer service after the changeover is complete before i pay for any new hardware.
Fuck. That's awesome. I can't wait until my plan is up. I'm all about the bandwidth. I want to get something like the Motorola MPx that's supposed to me out any time now that will eat up bandwidth with emails and shit. hopefully Cingular gets the MPx.
what about the family plans im waiting cuz i neeed 4 lines
I wonder if AT&T has any sweet deals on accessories.
This is gonna be interesting...but I'm sticking with Verizon in my area...best coverage for my needs.
hell yes i want that
Hell no you don't. In reality, the device is chunky and the keys are hard to press. At night, you'll look like you have a riced out civic in your hands. It's a pricey one. If you want something cool, buy my Sony Ericsson P910i or S700i.
Are you on the big island? I was in Oahu couple years back and used T-Mobile. Solid service all over the island.
I have an mpx200 so im used to clunky, it looks like a nice upgrade to what I have now, im thinking either that or the mpx220
so if you have an at&t phone already, can u use it on the cingular network now?
im not talking about plans, i'm talking about phones
