Everyone else metal.
They call it QuietSteel.
What does Nissan call its metal?
That Saturn shit looks pretty solid though.
Nissan calls it steel like the rest of the world.
But Ford has somehow improved on normal steel and made it quieter.
yah... i enjoy the squeeks and cricks my polyurethane bushings make, but thanks anyways
I'm guessing they just used better soundproofing techniques when building the trucks.
= more dead weight
For what it's worth, had my parents Oldsmobile Alero the other month and washed it alongside my gti, the difference in the sound of the water hitting the sides of the cars kinda shocked me. Almost felt like it could dent the side of the alero it was so tinny in comparison, and the alero was a 4 door, so I expected the smaller metal spans to make it more solid.
Germans are notorious for making shit heavier than it looks.
You know there are thousands of different types of steel, right?
Nissan calls it shit.
And each one quieter than the last, right?
Ford = Teh Ghey
Ford isn't gay. Gay is reserved for companies like GM whose only good vehicles are rebadges of stuff other companies sell over seas.
Technically not quieter, but some kinds of steel have better dampening properties.
The same way some steel is stainless and some isn't.
It's not all that different than any other manufacturer. Hell that happens in cycling too.
this is also true.
I could see ways different steels could transfer fewer vibrations...
do you have any facts about this steel? of so, then good, but right now it just seems like you are bashing ford because they gave their steel a certain name. also, link to where ford said that their steel was better than everyone elses.
I didn't realize the Corvette came from Australia.
it's called Yahoo search next time
geee looks as if right there it say's "THE BEST PICKUP TRUCK EVER"
One of the few things GM builds without the help of other. Along with their trucks, even though their disel engines was co-engineered with Isuzu.
this is pretty cool
From now on, Nissan will also take something that's been around for a long time and give it a cool name.
uh..... it looks like MSC patented the name...
Well the Nissan Titan sure in the hell isn't quiet.
It's loud like a good truck should be.
