is 38g of fiber a day enough? I try to consume most of it when my metabolism is at it's highest - but sometimes it still feeling hard to take a dump now that i've reduced my carbs a bit.

i'm eating about 275g of protein a day and 200-250g of carbs

what if you just cook in the oil, not fry in it?

edit: wait a second - that article's kinda confusing... that's talking about roasting nuts and the transformation of the lipids... does this apply to all lipids (i.e. olive oil) and all forms of heating them?

cook as in broil cook is ok. and yes this does apply to all lipids that are not saturated... then again what food is 100% saturated.

frying oil results in the same lipid transformation as baking nuts?

Always cook all oils below smoking point, no?

There are some oils that are safely used at a higher temperature: grapeseed oil (unsaturated), rice bran oil (unsaturated), coconut oil (saturated, but rich in lauric acid)

Information overload but that's a good thing. I'm trying to lose a few pounds and get in better shape and try to stay there. I'm an old fuck and tend to eat healthier than most people these days and I don't drink sodas. Coffee and water daily and once in awhile, a nice cold Heineken or six on a Friday night. Good info to read!
