These two might be the biggest idiots in the history of terrorism. How the fuck did they manage to kill people? The shit they did after the bombing suggests they are mentally retarded.
i made dozens of these types of bombs in high school, black powder + CO2 canisters + model rocket ignitors. making a bomb isn't difficult :dunno:

getting away with it, especially with cameras everywhere, isn't

CHICAGO (CBS) — The FBI arrested an Aurora teen they allege attempted to travel to Syria to join a jihadist militant group, according to an FBI press release.

Abdella Ahmad Tounisi, 18, was taken into custody at O’Hare Airport last Friday attempting to board a flight bound for Istanbul, Turkey.

Tounisi, a U.S. citizen, was charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. He has been ordered held until he appears in court again on April 23.

Tounisi could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted. The FBI says the arrest was unrelated to the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

The FBI says it has been investigating Tounisi since 2012. The FBI claims he was a close friend of of Adel Daoud, who was arrested in September 2012 for attempting to detonate a bomb outside a bar in Chicago.

“Since 9-11, terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda, Al Shabab have found it increasingly difficult to plant and mount a 9-11 type terrorist attack so what they’re resorting to is enlisting u-s citizens or people who are in this country legally, radicalizing them and then getting them to do terrorist acts on their behalf,,” said security consultant Ross Rice.

The FBI claims Tounisi conducted online research on overseas travel and violent jihad from January to April 2013, focusing on the Jabhat al-Nusrah terrorist group. In late March 2013, the FBI claims he made contact with a man he believed was an undercover agent posing as a recruiter for the terrorist group and exchanged a series of emails in which Tounisi shared his plan to get to Syria by way of Turkey and willingness to die for the cause.

Tounisi purchased an airline ticket for a flight from Chicago to Istanbul on April 10 and the undercover agent provided him with a bus ticket from Istanbul to Gaziantep, Syria, according to the FBI. He was arrested after passing through airport security.

There was a link back in this thread that said that the FBI investigated the older brother at the request of "an unnamed government" because he intended to travel to that country. The FBI looked into him and reported back to that government that he hadn't been radicalized/wasn't part of some terrorist group. The government they had been in contact with didn't request a follow up.

What makes you think: "FBI once again knows about something and sits on its hands."

I didn't know you had "full disclosure about the investigations into the brother." :hsugh:

moron

he's not the one claiming that, every news source reporting about it is saying the same thing.

Then at the very least, we're using billions of tax payer dollars on a department that's inept in almost every single facet

FBI once again knows about something and sits on its hands. No conspiracy needed. How many times has this happened in the last 10+ years?

I guess they're always too busy making up their own terrorist plots to stop

great intelligent responses. Continue running around draped in the american flag chanting USA and giving thanks to the quick reactions of our gov't

lol. Who said I was doing any of this? Find a post in this thread, or board. I just love when people judge what should have happened based after something happens, instead of basing it on what was known prior to the event.

You know, if those idiots would have just had air Marshalls on board all four of the flights on 9/11 and if the building had been evacuated and if we had some system to identify terrorists with box cutters and keep them from getting a plane 9/11 would never have happened.

Fucking government is useless and doesn't do their jobs.

another good question to ask is why all these incidents keep happening when a fucking training drill for the same exact scenario is going down in the area
