Blizzard listens to the community for the most part...I'm starting to have hope still for what the game can actually become

    D2 wasn't amazing overnight.

    Cliffs:

    - No more averaged Magic Find in co-op games.
    - Flat 75% increase in monster health for co-op (rather than scaled up to 110% in Inferno).
    - Increasing normal monster health in Inferno by 5-10%, and they will be 4x more likely to drop magic or rare items.
    - Decreasing elite health by 10-25%.
    - Modifying elite pack affixes (removing Invulnerable Minions)
    - Adding damage modifiers to 2H weapons to make them more powerful and appealing, rather than everyone dual wielding.
    - New modifiers for ilvl 61 and 62 weapons so they can reach the same max damage as ilvl 63 weapons
    - Removing elite pack health regeneration and enrage timers
    - Reducing repair costs of high-end items by 25%
    - Improving Legendaries (new drops only)
    - Modifying/buffing unpopular skills to increase build diversity
    - Targeted for the last week of August.

It's a start. D3 will never be a special game, but it can at least be a competent one.

Still probably won't play it ever again.

    :gives:

If you don't play your input is pretty meaningless.

Act 3 done, also did the first part of Act IV Inferno...for some reason I didn't hit one elite pack yet...but wow the normal mobs hit even harder than Act 3

Did anyone finish Act 3 then get stuck at the end of Act 4 for awhile?

  9. This. They really did listen to the fans
That said, I feel like it's pre-release and I'm just waiting for them to release the 1.04 release date.

Act 4 was definitely harder, I died a lot more, but finished the act the same night I cleared Act 3. :o

Much easier in a 2-3 man group. Monk/Barb/Whatever.

  12. Yeah I'm actually excited about playing again. What I might do is try leveling a few characters up to 60 this month. All I really have is a Wiz

For me, leveling a new character renews my interest in the game. Twinking is fun as hell. :o

Am I the only one who had an easier time in Act 4 ? :o

Or maybe because it's just shorter ?

Only mob that gave me problems in Act 4 are those shitheads that moves very fast and casts meteors.

:ugh: And if you do play, your input is meaningless. Because the game blows. It is literally mind-numbing. I'm surprised people are still playing it, but I guess there isn't anything else out there right now.

Agree to disagree. I had a blast with D2 right from its start date and played several hundred hours over the following couple years. D3 I haven't even played in over a week and I'm barely over 100 hours total played.

It can still get drastically better, but at this point I don't think it has any shot of getting near as good as D2 was.

    :werd: ^ infinity

Everything that was "wrong" with the game is fixable and they're moving in the right direction.

Fucking people expecting everything to be perfect right off the bat. Clearly nobody remembers how much they changed in D2.

I'm definitely interested to level up a new guy, I'd prefer to do it co-op. I'll be on tonight probably at around 10PDT if you guys are interested. I think we're already friends.

I'd rather shit on this one, but almost any game is better. That's the problem though. There are no others games to play right now. The industry is dead in the water.

Not everything. Diablo 3 will never have a "soul". That's one thing that isn't patchable.

No game has a "soul"... it's either fun, or it isn't. D3 was great fun for almost everybody until they reached some point farming in Inferno when they realized the drop rates suck, certain champion packs were a cockblock, etc. In other words, all the shit they're fixing.

 No it's not. But that's just my opinion.
One fun thing about video games, you can REPLAY THEM AFTER YOU BEAT THEM. If you're disappointed in the lack of new games, go replay some old ones. :dunno:

:hsugh: If you don't know what I mean, then I don't know what to tell you. Portal, that's a game with soul. A game where you feel the love of the developers in the finished product.

Diablo 3 is a game about farming gold.. like what Chinese prisons make their inmates do. Except Blizzard has somehow managed to fool millions into believing that it's somehow rewarding.
