With the majority of mechanicals finished on the 931, she will be heading off to paint.

Next in the queue for resurrection is this 25 year, one family owned 1987 928 S4 5-speed manual. All original paint work.
I'll have to make a decision to sell one of the 928's when this is done. View attachment 299920

How she last looked all polished up

I did a 4 hour road trip in the back of one of those when I was young and skinny

I read somewhere that US 84-87 Carreras had rear 3pt seatbelt anchors, but in the US, they were only equipped with lap belts. I found an 88 parcel shelf with the 3pt seatbelt provision, and instead of ripping the two apart to make one good one, I decided to dye it.

The dye is made by Colourlock. I've touched up my seats and so far it's been holding up 2-3 years later with minimal use.

Ya know, I had wondered if there were 3 point anchors back there or not. I might look into doing this too because my kids are increasingly more interested in riding in the car and the lack of a 3 point in the back is a little worrisome.

If you don't mind cutting a hole in your '87 parcel shelf, you can mount 964 belts back there. No drilling is required.
