I'm absolutely finished buying now, i don't care what deal comes my way!!
I've always wanted a 951 but wasn't willing to commit to buying one at today's prices.
However, when a single family owned, 1987 951 comes my way...hmmmm
This car hasn't been on the road since 2010
Previous owners are now elderly and unable to drive it. Husband is, sadly, in mental decline.
It does run and drive, I just need to bring all the maintenance up to date and lots...lots...lots of cleaning/detailing. The interior does have a little mold on the seats but the dash is absolutely gorgeous!!
I'll post more photos when it's all detailed and road ready .
Paid $7500

Was hoping some of you experienced guys could help me before I make any more calls. We took delivery of our new Macan in late December. At delivery we weren't able to get the Porsche Connect to work even though we tried to get our account created before the vehicle even arrived. I thought the issue might just be the inexperienced SA (for instance, he didn't think we could put a downpayment down and that it would have to be done through our bank). They told us they like to do a sort of secondary delivery where you bring the car by and if you have any questions that you've thought of in the time since you picked the car up you can ask them at that time. Well he still couldn't get it to work. I don't know if the issue is because I had created an account and tried to link the car and then we wanted to set it up under my SO since it would be her daily car. But either way we had to set up an appt with the service dept. The soonest day available I worked so she took it down herself. They charged $102.50 for labor and got it working. But then two days later she got a message that she was removed from the account. I then got an email to activate my Porsche Connect. Neither of us even really give a shit about Porsche Connect and definitely didn't expect the labor charge. I just want some input here before I call customer service. Pretty annoyed with the dealership not having any clue or being able to explain what the issue is. If we would have known there would be a $100 charge to even set it up we would have just deleted the app and been happy with our new car.

Seems like a big customer service mis-step for them to charge you for something that probably should have been functional at delivery of a brand new vehicle.

I agree. Especially considering the app seems pretty useless and I don't even care that much to have it.

Yeah I'd probably call them up and give them an earful about that.

Call who?
