Now predictions:

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva
Fedor will come back looking better than ever, TKOs Silva in the 2nd

Andrei Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov
Going with my heart on this one, AA deserves a good win

Shane Del Rosario vs. Lavar Johnson
Tough to call, don't know much about either guy other than they are big and like to strike. Should be a good one.

Valentijn Overeem vs. Ray Sefo
Valentijn wins as often as he loses, going with Sefo on this one

Chad Griggs vs. Gian Villante
Griggs is a tough motherfucker, but Gian is an up-and-comer with tons of 1st round finishes. Going with Griggs here because of his sideburns.

Fedor via tko round 1

Was my initial thought, but I think Silva will be weary of striking with Fedya and try to take him to the ground. I can see him using the cage to try and take away Fedor's mobility and work for a takedown in the 1st. Once he gets shut down/frustrated, Silva will start to make mistakes and Fedor will stun him and finish on the ground.

If Fedor connects....it's over....

Silva is going to have to work the clinch hard and hope the ref doesn't separate.

One thing I have in my mind is that Werdum showed to the world that Fedor's main weakness is on the ground.

^ I think thats a very telling quote from Silva. He says he will strike and go wherever the fight goes, but I'd bet all my $ on the fact that he will try to clinch, avoid a striking battle, and try to get on top of Fedor. Won't work.

ddid anyone tell him Fedor's "main weakness" is so weak he has won 16 times via submission ? How good is Fedor if that's his biggest weakness?

Silvas only shot is working him vs the cage. That's it. And its a very small shot

Yeah, thats the only thing I see him doing. I think its pretty clear that since Fedor started fighting in the cage, that's been the biggest difference in his game. Rogers had some mild success against him by using his size and the cage, and many people have attributed the cage as part of why Fedor got caught by Werdum. I would imagine that Silva's camp is going to use this as the main part of their game plan.

Fedor answers some questions from Lowkick.com's online community.

pound4pound: You have been fighting for over a decade and went undefeated until the fight against Fabricio Werdum. Who was your biggest challenge before losing to Werdum?
I had some very interesting match-ups throughout my career. But I find the fights against Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Antonio Nogueira in Pride as the toughest ones.

wartaal677: Dear Fedor, what do you think about Alistair Overeem and that he is always challenging you and thinks that he is better then you?
I think Alistair Overeem is a great fighter and a serious athlete. He's very strong physically. And his victory in the K-1 World Grand Prix last year was very impressive to watch.

UrHype: Do you think the respect that was synonymous with MMA is a dying belief? Your real fans will always respect what you've done for the sport. You'll always be remembered as a humble respectful fighter.
Thanks a lot for the kind words. I think that respect between fighters depends on fighters themselves. It depends on a lot of fighter's character and upbringing, which decides whether he wants to respect his opponent or not.

Arthur_Knoqout: Sambo is one of the most effective combat systems out there. It stemmed out of Judo and BJJ stemmed out of Judo as well. Doesn't it make sense to cross train with a BJJ specialist?
In my opinion SAMBO is the most effective form of Martial Arts. As for my upcoming fight against Antonio Silva, I prepared with the Dutch kickboxing coach Peter Taesse.

jasons: Fedor, do you find an advantage in your training methods over the more complicated exercises used in the West?
I use what's best for me. Every fighter has his own training style and methods in a preparation process for the fight.

Kon: Lately, a lot of fighters tested positive for steroids. What do you think about the usage of steroids, and do you think it's a widespread phenomenon in MMA?
I never used steroids in my career. There are some fighters who use them to improve their speed and power. I disagree with that kind of approach. I think that everything has to be fair, and all fighters should be "clean". So every fighter could have an equal chance to get a victory.

Footlancer: What would you say to today's generation who are growing up with ubiquitous negative influences and role models in their lives? What do you think about MMA's current influence on young adults, and what would you change about it? Is this one of the reasons you choose not to compete in the UFC?
I would advice young generation to get involved in sports, instead of wasting their time by following bad examples.

Unfortunately, any, even the most distinguished career comes to an end. Yes, if you're wearing, and regularly wash a thing long enough, then at some point you have to take a difficult decision on whether to part with it.

If Fedor Emelianenko is such a thing was his striped sweater, also known popularly as the "Great sweater absolute victory."

On Monday, the show Ariel Helvani Fedor told about what is today this famous piece of his wardrobe.

"Actually I do not really understand why this sweater has become so popular, nothing in it do not exist, it's just my way of wearing things. I buy things and often wear them for as long as they do not grow old. And this sweater now already too old"

Emelianenko said he did not know where it is currently in this sweater, but he thinks that he is somewhere in his house in Stary Oskol. At the same time, he said that if he found it, it will give Ariel Helvani for storage in the studio MMA Hour.

The first time Fedor seen in his famous sweater before his fight with Andrei Arlovski at Affliction 2009. As soon as he began to appear in it in photographs taken in Russia and the U.S., the fans immediately interested in this sweater, made him a cult thing on the Internet.

The last time the sweater appeared in public at a press conference M-1 Challenge before the fight against Brett Rogers in November 200

lol I didn't realize there was such a stir about that one particular sweater. I mean, out of all the ridiculous things Fedor has worn in pictures why that sweater is the subject of interest is beyond me.

Also I find it hilarious how confused Fedor is about why people concern themselves with his sweaters. His state of mind is completely different from that of everyone talking about him in the media and on the internet lol
