Ammo is pretty expensive so I'm thinking of going either route.
i used to have an M261 conversion kit. u can get them over on ar15.com for around $150. they work well but can clog up your gas tube so you should shoot a couple .223 rounds after shooting a good amount of .22lr through it. Ciener makes a kit also that lets you use 30 round magazines which is a huge plus.
http://www.kuehlprecisionfirearms.com/ sells the Ciener slicked up to run right for no extra money.
aren't taking orders anymore
model1 had some cieners.
If I was going to go the 22 route with an AR I think I'd just buy a dedicated upper for it.
yeah I want a dedicated upper with a flat top possibly and a 16" barrell or something with a shorter foregrip.
Aren't taking orders for uppers, not Ciener kits.
all have them for about the same price
I saw a Ciener kit in person.. Im kinda "eh" to it.. Didnt look real professional
i'm just going to buy a 10/22 for the price of a conversion
I know lots of guys that keep Ciener conversions for their AR's in their BOB's.
