This one looks fuggin sharp in person.
not bad as far as gm crap goes, though.
i dont like the tails, and id never buy one over the other ~22k sport compacts
guess it can hang with the SRT-4 not that thats saying very much
Quoted at 205 HP....may be more, like the SRT4?
This one was lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oaded too! MP3, leather, etc. Nice. 215-45/ZR18 Pirellis too!
I like it but I'd rather have the SRT4
Seriously. I couldn't afford it, or justify $25-ish K for an econobox.
You'll get raped on the depreciation. Stay away. Doesn't matter how much HP it has, or the fact that they are decent cars, the fact that it's GM and it's still a cavalier, means the value will go down faster than Courtney Love on a bender.
Does it have that nifty GM Ecotec 4-banger? I heard that was a pretty good boostable motor.
18's sap power? Even if they're lightweight?
i actually like it
Ecotec destroked to 2.0 liters, and supercharged, intercooled. IIRC
ya it does.
cant agruee with 14.5 1/4 mile out of the box with a 4banger... but i still think there over priced
That's the one then... wouldn't be suprised to see some good performance numbers out of that thing with a new blower.
The Cobalt/Pursuit are the nicer of the domestic small-cars out there now. And from rental-drivers opinions, they all like them. Quiet, comfy, peppy.
I own an 02 Sunfire GT, 2.4, and the Ecotec is a MUCH quieter engine.
i love how they look from the front the back kills it though. and depreciation strikes a devastating blow, im saying theyre not worth it basically.
I get better yank with the 16s on my car over the 14s my winter tires are on. And my 16s are very close in weight to my 14" alloys.
Really underrated engines. They dyno higher then their factory rated.
Alittle disappointed with the rear suspension, but it still puts has admirable performance.
i would get one after 3 yrs and they go for like 5k used
Edit: page 2
They are pretty sweet, id take one over an SRT4 any day. Interior is much nicer, and it doesn't look like a Neon. I think almost any new car now is too high on their prices, no inflation in the economy my ass.
i'm sure a smaller pulley swap can get you some cheap decent gains too
Worked on the 3800 SC!
