5. longest trip before this was 4 days
6. kids stuck in front of a video for entertainment - so no "adventure" there- except for mommy & daddy boinking in open waters
7. accepts rides with strangers in Mexico with the kids in tow
8. experienced sailors warned them not to attempt this trip
9. they had an apt in San Diego along with the boat
10. they were living for bed & nap time so they could have sex
11. kept food from child- saved it for themselves
12. longest previous trip; 4 days
