Where in the PDF Writer can i change the default output location?
Is the PDF writer the thing that emulates a printer? That is the only experience I have with converting to PDF.
yes, I use it with MS Access to create reports so I email them out.
Are you using the writer or the distiller? I know the default is the last output directory so unless you change that on a regular basis you won't have a problem. If you do, you're better to use the distiller job watch - that will sit there and watch for things to process in a set folder and output them in another.
I had 4.0 and i could have sworn there was a place that you could change to output folder...
BTW, what is the difference between the distiller and the writer? I have about 50 docs to convert to PDF this afternoon.
If you open up distiller, you can set directories for it to monitor and it will automatically convert them. It's a way for one machine to "serve" up pdf files on a network for example. You have to actually load the distiller up though (programs->adobe acrobat 5.0->Acrobat Distiller). Check out the help files to see what I mean.
PS I have 4.0 so it might be a bit different.
