What's the difference between Moving Coil and Moving Magnet?
Are those transformers in the turntable or the receiver?
I have a Pioneer PL-88F that takes a Pioneer PN41MC cartridge --- according to the repair shop my needle is cracked --- I'm having difficulty finding a new one
I called a phonograph shop (don't have the card handy at the moment but that's all they do) and they said they don't have moving coil but they do have moving magnet.
Well, it's from '82-'83 and I've been told it was ~$400 when new
Fully-Automatic, Front-Loading, Programmable Turntable --- (It's like they took out the arm and put in a laser to get LD)
Mine IS MC and Pioneer is not even on that site
It pretty much has to be an exact replacement (PN41MC or PN31MC) -- I've tried other 'generic' needles and they just won't fit
