Check out part 2 and RAILS v. Java.
Spot on accurate and humorous, about the ills of working with and without good frameworks.
Its not the language, its how you write the code.
it's the "out of the box" ability of the framework. You can adopt the MVC model in any language, rails just makes it super easy to implement.
Thats what the videos are about If you write the code without a framework in PHP, it will be horrible.
I haven't watched the videos yet, but you can't compare PHP and Ruby on Rails. You can compare PHP and Ruby, or PHP Framework X v Ruby on Rails. Retarded!
The vids have potential but they're really really unfunny.
The point is almost nobody uses a framework for PHP.
I hear Code Igniter is pretty good and is used by a lot of people.
Do you have a reference for this, stats etc?
OT fails the 95% rule. OT is comprised of the 2.5% at each extreme, which is immediately thrown out of any statistical study... They only apply their analysis to the middle 95%.
A lot of people use frameworks. Not "almost nobody". That's a blatantly retarded assumption.
I expected nothing less, actually. Why did I even post this...
You've got doody in your face.
