Pioneer receiver problem

  1. I have a Pioneer VSX-D509S receiver. When I put the receiver in to dolby prologic, the sound will only be noticeable in the center channel and surrounds, I can barely hear anything from the two floor speakers, the only way I know anything is coming out is by feeling the woofer. How can I get it to use all 5 speakers at the right volume?

What are you listening to? If it is a movie, the voices should only be coming from the center channel. Only effects are on the R/L speakers.
  3. It does this on tv and cd's played through my dvd player (via optical cable)
  4. actually, I can hear sounds from the two fronts but it just seems like it should be louder..?

Well, quite frankly it shouldnt. Does the music appear normally, just the voices are subdued on the left and right speakers?
  6. I dont know maybe thats the way its supposed to be but i just thought that they should be louder than they are...
