I'm in the market for a <200 dollar (US) pocket or pretty compact HD camcorder. I need to use it for work to document surgical procedures and when I go traveling. I noticed that there were basically 3 main options to go with the Creative Lab Vado HD, Kodak Zi6, and the Flip Ultra HD / Mino HD seem to all fit the bill? Any OT experience with any of these? I use Windows XP and already have video editing software and video capture ability. My 2 biggest concerns are battery life and video quality at the highest (i.e. HD setting). We were using a HP digital camera 7 or 8 MP to take videos of the procedures but the quality was really bad. Also I will be pretty close to the procedures (at max 2-3 feet away from the image field) and hopefully I can leave the camera on a tripod since I have read nothing in the price range has motion stability. Will also get the waterproof case so the camcorder doesn't get messed up.
