I'm looking for some new podcasts to make the day go by at work....what do you guys listen to? These are the podcasts I subscribe to, but honestly only listen to a select few. Among my favorites: NPR: This I Believe http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=121493799 people write essays on some subject that matters to them, wether it be gas prices or just working too much. interesting little insight into what makes people tick. it kinda gives you the and feeling at the same time. Running time is usually < 10 minutes. NPR: Wait Wait Don't Tell Me http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=121493804 it's a news quiz show where people call in to a live audience, the main host adds different celebrities on the air, and the contestants "compete" for "an old guys voice on your home answering machine." it sounds lame, but is actually pretty fun to listen to sitting at work. Running time is usually < 60 minutes. This American Life http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=201671138 interesting stories basically, that make you go WTF. Stories range from a man who was framed for a murder he didn't commit, and his story...to a reporter who bought a house in Baghdad, hired guards and personal taxis, and his two year story over there...Running time is generally about an hour. i've recently started listening to the Mike O'Meara show, and found it to be short....but pretty darn funny. They get honerable mention.
