whats better and why? how much more expensive is 9x18 over 9x19?
you can buy mak ammo for about the same price as 9x19
1000 rounds for $100 from aimsurplus.com
I'd go with the bulgie mak. It's cheap, reliable, and it's a fun plinker.
That is not much cheaper than Walmart if you didnt want to buy such a bulk
they sell the 9x18 at wally world?
I misread.. I saw the 9 X19 and was thinking WWB
There is no such thing as a Polish Makarov. There are polish guns that fire the Mak caliber, but Maks were only made in Russia, Bulgaria, and East Germany.
Ammo for the star will be considerably cheaper in the long run
hmmm decisions decisions.. maybe Ill scrounge up a few more bucks and buy both
As mentioned, the P-64 is not a Makarov, just same caliber. 9x18 isn't quite as potent as 9x19 but I still think it's a good round. Given the choices I wouldn't even consider the P-64. 9x18 is harder to find but if you buy online in bulk it costs the same as WWB 9x19. Maks are the AK's of pistols, simple, accurate, and go bang every time. The BM will have softer recoil but from what I hear they're not always completely reliable and service parts are a lot harder to find.
