Maybe a network diagram, and pics of your networking hardware.
How do you create the purdy lil diagram?
I used Microsoft Visio Pro, it came with my Office distro.
this was a while ago... it's gotten better:
and yes, I need those switches... both for lan parties and the fact that they're managed and I simulate various network topologies for work-purposes.
i can't wait until i can afford good network hardware.
Did you steal those from work?
no... bought em all... as well as the cisco gear that's replacing it.
what are you doing with the old shit
selling it. Are you interested in any of it?
Possibly. About how much are you looking for? PM me if it's relatively cheap
I'll just IM you if thats okay.
Whats that doorbell looking switch on the right for?
i get asked this question wherever i post this pic
It's a computer:
i think you got the wrong idea when somebody told you that you needed a new case
hey pummer, under Visio, where would I find those shapes/templates?
I just searched "network."
The rack in the basement before I got the patch panel in place. Note the AT switch that is too deep for the rack.
Here is the wiring that I did in the house. One run of cat5 for voice and data.
Here is what the setup looks like now. The 24port AT swtich got replaced by a WRTG54G. And there is now a massive DEC Alpha infront of it.
Oh and here is a pic of my HP Netserver and Clariion RAID array that I have coloed at my work:
I bet bittorrent works good after being three NAT devices deep.
I count only two in the above pic. The "third" looks (says, rather) that it's a hub.

After posting your network diagrams, include WAN IP and admin login and password.
that way we all can 'truly understand' your network.
