edit: geared of course
i think height should be factored in..
height shouldnt have any factor...
however, the only people that should be posting in this thread are people that have actual competition totals... majority of people couldnt hit their three PRs in a row.
height isnt an issue, just make sure you aren't the tallest in your weightclass....
which I'm still working on.....
not all in the same day but eh, at least they are all raw.
I bet more half of the people who post their squat numbers don't get any where near parallel
Don't think so, all the 400+ posted were by the strongest ones here
You can come to my gym anytime and watch my depth...
By the way, since you have more experience, how do you know when you broke parallel? Box squatting?
Honestly, I have a habit of going way to far past parallel so on my heavy sets I have to have someone get off to the side and give me an "up" command. Which is a really bad habit because that means I will probably have to have someone do it at my upcoming meet which could be a problem.
Yeah that's what I was wondering. Is it allowed to have someone "command" you?
yeah... you handler is usually the one to call depth
in most meets you'll hear "back back back back back back back UP!"
Yea it legal, I still think its a bad habit because I should have a feeling by know of where parallel is but I still go to deep or cut them high as fuck (like 6-8 inches)...
What do you guys think of "touch" box squatting to get used to cutting height?
