I just discovered BurnAware Free Edition.
Link on Download.com
i like Any Video Converter (the free edition) and WinSCP.
If anyone could suggest a freeware version of Directory Opus I'd be interested.
MP3Tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ bulk ID3 tag editor, does more than just mp3s
Foxit PDF Reader http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php - lighter and faster than Adobe Reader, although some bitch that you can't view pdf's within the web browser which sucked and was even slower anyway
www.pdf995.com - PDF printer suite.
WinStatDir - http://windirstat.info/ - A great program for showing which directoried are using up all the space on your hard drives
CCleaner - www.ccleaner.com - a very thourogh cleaner that will clean up all the temp files on your hard drive and much faster than the windows disk clean up
ZipGenius. It does everything WinZip does, and it's free.
Media Player Classic
And of course...
MWSnap. Handiest little screen capture app i've seen.
40 seconds total to open the program up, take this pic, and upload it.
Once the app is open, it only takes a few seconds to snap and save.
vlc, 7zip, extractnow, directshowdump, dvdshrink, dvddecrypter, ripit4me...
If you use RDP/VNC/Any Type of remote protocol, mRemote is FTMFW
magicdisc(virtual drive, but it doesn't work on vista.)
lots of fail and aids in this thread.
a few good things.
but mostly fail and aids.
Even after your stellar contribution???
We use PDFCreator now - I like it much better and it's open source.
grow up, fatty. get a life.
Yeah, I use MWSnap at work to take screenshots for user manuals. Fantastic tool.
miniMize is handy for workstations
Launchy (Already mentioned) is great. The add ons allow you to email from the prompt, launch batch files, command line work, etc.
That minimize app is pretty cool, thanks ...
I liked mremote too although it won't let me do RDP.
Apparently I needed an RDP update:
Supported Operating Systems:
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Microsoft Terminal Services Client 6.0
Needed if you use RDP. mstscax.dll and/or msrdp.ocx must be registered.
Needed if you use Telnet, SSH, Rlogin or RAW. Included in all packages.
Citrix ICA Client
Needed if you use ICA. wfica.ocx must be registered.
Yeah I had to update my client as well. But the program rocks...tabbed RDP connections FTW
just started using this
MediaMonkey for organizing mp3's
everything else I have is already listed.
