Arc AAA, UKE 2L, Streamlight TL-3 Xenon, SureFire M6 (hopefully in 1.5 weeks)
mag light 2 aa and 3D cell.
ARC LSH modded (EDC), Surefire E1 with KL4 head, Surefire M95xx, Surefire X200A and X200B, a couple of modded mags.
I've sold most of my nice flashlights, X990, a bunch of surefires (any of you CPFers know the guy who did the surefire M6R that was my M6 he bought, really nice and smart guy), too many others to mention. Looking to finally pick up a U2, and a Thor and perhaps start a new HID build.
jim sexton. Too bad he wants $150 for the new packs.
I wont be using mine that much to justify that cost on an already $400 light. It's a much better value to get a Mag mod for <$250.
Ive had those at one time. The G2Z is a great light with P61 LA.
A 1/2million candlepower Xenon Bulb "tactical" flashlight I got from Target for $12.
Well you know Jim sold all 69 packs he made and he isn't willing to build any new ones. So apparently there are a bunch of people willing to spend the money, I for one would have to think about it. I never used my M6 much because of the size, and when I bought that M6 I also bought an X990 at the same time so I never really appreciated the build quality of the M6.
Surefire Z2 w/ GG&G TID and clickie tailcap
Surefire 6P, w/ KLK LED conversion and clickie tailcap
Surefire G2, yellow
Surefire G2, OD
Surefire M900a (on AR15)
Surefire 619 (on 870)
Inova w/ blue LED's
My 6p is fucked up so I'm carrying a G2 until my e2e comes in.
Only light I have is a 6p, my brother wanted black and ordered gunmetal by mistake so I traded him a knife for it
Edit- The brand is Foresight. I don't know if they are still in business or not. The flashlight is fucking bright, tho. Here is a link to a review http://ledmuseum.candlepower.us/third/foresite.htm. Sorry for the shitty pics.
I use my Aviator ALL the fucking time at work. It helped me find a skull fragment, blood spatter, and a shoe at a crime scene. After that call, though, I carry my M3 with me at night, because a longer throw would've been better at 0200 in the morning on a dark stretch of highway. After dinner, I just throw the M3 in the truck. I also carry spare batteries now, because an hour of time goes by in a hurry. I was there for three hours that night.
how long ago was it that you bought it?
I'm about to go pick up some green paint to make it a tactical light. Maybe mount it under the 26.
Surefire G2 Nitrolon, and several maglites
I've heard of a 20million one out there
He's doing another run right now but wont make them until early next year (from what ive read). He also upped price to an extra $50 so I think it's $150 if you want one now. Theres a guy in the group buy forum selling the X990's for $265 plus shipping. Do you have any pictures of it next to the M6?
Is that the regular M3 or M3T? Wish I could justify the cost but I already got a TL-3 which is said to throw as far or farther than the SF 3 cell lights (without turbo head). What's your profession?
I got it around this time last year. Even when I first got it last year, their website was already down.
You can't even see the beam from the M6 when the X990 is on, if you're in the market for a bright light period get the X990. But if you need the extreme durability of a SF there isn't much you can get without spend $1k+. I did have two beam shots looking down from my porch one from the X990 and the other from the M6. I'll see if I can dig up the pics, I lost most of my old pics the last time my hard drive decided to crap out.
pics of X990 and description?
For an alternative to buying as many Surefire lights as I have in my short illumnation-purchasing lifetime, buy Pentagon Lights. They're cheaper, and almost the same thing. Same materials, same hard anodization, same setup in most cases, but with new options, a far lower cost, and whiter light than Surefire.
I was just looking at some of those and they are pretty nice.
I wanted something small and has the "WOW" factor. I actually wanted to buy it 4 years ago when the price was normally under $300 but thought that it was too much for a light. The most expensive light I bought to date was a Arc LSH-P and I thought that was pushing it already. Handle is FNG on CPF.
It's a HID light labled under McCulloch but they had to put it under another name (Acro) for insurance reasons since they have chainsaws, etc under the McCulloch name. You should get one if you just wanted something FUCKING bright. Especially for only $265, or $300 if you wanted an extra battery.
I also have an aviator. I feel retarded for spending that much on a flash light but it did what I wanted perfectly. I get a long lasting low intensity light for general use, and in red which I prefer when I'm doing night photography, and if I need I can get a bright regulated bulb beam with a pretty good throw.
