I did decent. Didn't care about it too much.
a scribe from one of the training platoon in my boot camp was a 19 year old college graduate from UT-Austin with a degree in chemistry. he enlisted to be a grunt. he got 99 on the AFQT and 100 or so on the GT.
GT: Army 143; Navy 140; Marine 160 (Air Force doesn't have a GT)
what are you smart or something there old man?!?
I really don't remember.
I just took mine or I wouldn't have a clue either.
I think age/experience helps a lot on the ASVAB.
Max for E's is 125 or 130, so maybe someone was an O?.....
ASVAB - 84, or 87, I don't remember. I took it when I was 16 or 17, to make the recruiter happy and to compare scores with friends. As a cadet, it doesn't really matter for me though.
AFOQT - Air Force Officer Qualification/(Qualifying) Test 50's & 60's in all categories. This is evidently a pretty good score, not great, but considering you need like 5's-10's to pass. Again, this is irrelivent b/c most of you will never take this test and thus can't really compare the scores with anything.
What score are you talking about? My ASVAB was for enlisted, not officer, and almost every score I have in the Composite area for each branch is much higher than 140 (except for Air Force).
GT:143 CL:137 CO:143 EL:147 FA:144 GM:147 MM:152 OF:149 SC:144 ST:144

MM:160 GT:152 EL:140 CL:125
someone explain what this is ?
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery: the written entrance exam that everyone wanting to enlist in the U.S. armed forces must take.
The AFQT score is a percentile score that rates you against everyone else taking the test. Don't try to make sense out of the Composite scores. It's like Cricket.
ahh i see thanks
oh....and i like cricket
Americans don't typically have the gene that allows us to understand the game.
same for us brits and american football...........shame cos i love it.
Not much to understand about cricket to be honest with ya
Hey now, let's not bag cricket.
We're going to beat your arse in the Ashes
I found this especially
Ignore all the shit in there about dimensions and that stuff

Ugh... Okay - here's a penny pic of the ASVAB printout I got when I took it at MEPS:

odd... they mustve changed the scale recently?
I googled it and it looks like the numbers you posted are for the AFCT.
I tried to find a maximum score list for the ASVAB and came up empty.
