Put in $2, get 10x that for no work. DO WANT.
Holy details of your venture, batman.
Search Engines + Affiliates = win? I just felt like posting this, don't want to give away too many details. It's pretty obvious what I'm doing..
Got it. However... finding a keyword that doesn't already have massive amounts of competitors doing the same thing and thus driving the margins even thinner, can be tricky. Got an advice? Or did you just get lucky?
Mixture of both.
I got in on a promotion so I'm starting a bunch of different campaigns for different things with the same variables (price per day, per ad). Whichever performs best is what I'll work towards improving on.
Woke up to this.... 2nd day of PPC
How much have you spent on ads so far?
So far? <$10.
more details plz
its hard to find good cheap key words thats don't have a ton of competition
You say you got in on a promotion. Was that a promotion on the ads side or the affiliate side? When the promotion is over, will you stay as profitable?
Ads side. And yep, I should be profiting after as long as my spending < earning, which it currently is.
so you are purely doing PPC ads? you don't have your on affiliate webpage?
I just started another campaign with a landing page, I want to see how this one does to compare.
I tried this about 9 months ago and got a horrible conversion rate. There are so many competitors, I don't know how any of them make money. However, they are still there so I must have been doing something wrong. I haven't tried since.
If you do it and it works, let us know what you did.
I'm not gonna say what industry I'm doing for this, but leads pay pretty well
I'm experimenting with Yahoo right now. I'll probably move to adwords later, but Yahoo's pretty good for now.
Do you just send them directly to your affiliate link? It seems that if you dont they will have a better chance of just going away
Right now I am, seems to be working well. I think landing pages are intended more for word of mouth / organic traffic
Bored at work, and I just hit $200
too much work IMO. Those last a week or two then you have to research again and find keywords that work.
I'd rather develop a nice site that gets lots of traffic and either sell it off or put ads on it and gain revenue that way or have some sort of service people pay for.
I guess that's jsut me. I did the whole spam myspace for traffic thing. While sure, it got good results, it was fucking time consuming and you always had to be careful to tip toe around the rules and find ways to make sure you didn't get caught.
or if you have programs that do it for you
damn not bad for no landing pages...I get $50 free for yahoo thru my webhost I should just fuck around and give this a shot
