People tend to hate on Predator 2 but it’s a fucking masterpiece compared to the later ones.

2nd movie leans into the gore spectacle a lot more and the acting isn’t great…but at its core it’s actually a really good foil to the first movie because it shows the predator hunting in an urban environment rather than slinking around the jungle… since most humans live in cities, it’s a natural progression for them to start hunting in the “natural” environment of their prey.

Execution on #2 was a 5/10, but potential was 9/10 imo.
