I hadn't heard that
you should know better
first page repost
no fucking way, would that be a good thing or bad?
Last ditch effort before both file for chapter 12.
wow, they must be getting fucking desperate
far from it. GM is sitting on a lot of cash and sells have been increasing
They're sitting on cash because they've been hocking off everything they have that's worth a shit.
QFT and Ford still sells the most trucks (F150 and F350) even though Toyota is catching up.
What they need to do is de-unionise their labor, and tell the UAW to fuck off. That, and their corperate bloat are the real reasons why they are losing money. GM still outsells Toyota and Ford by a wide margin. It also has huge operating costs
Its irrelevant how much cash their sitting on as long as their liabilities are greater than their assets.
so you are saying drag out union leaders out of their beds at 3am and shoot em?
GM and Ford sell over 900,000 fullsized trucks EACH. Toyota sold 127, 000. Hell Dodge sells 400,000 trucks
GM made a nice profit last quarter. Ford made a profit before their one time buy out.
Exactly Toyota is catching up .
As much as I have a place for GM in my heart (My grandfather worked there for 40 years) and I can get GM cars for DIRT cheap). The craftsmanship of foreign cars are alot better.
no they arent.
they used to now they make cars here and in mexico.
ahh yeah they are
No, but it would be simply enough to tell them to fuck off. Then tell everybody they can either stay and work, with reasonable bennifets, or they can quit and go with their union buddys. I'm sure they'll protest and whatever, but as long as GM, Ford, and Chrystler all do it at the same time, and keep competitive wages with forign companys building in the US with non unionised labor, they should be just fine. They just need to sell it to the american people, and disclose just how corrupt the UAW really is. The problem isn't that the labor is unionised. The problem is that the union contracts, and the UAW still want to believe that contracts designed in the the 50s and 60s when the big three really was just that, are still reasonable.
No, they really aren't. You're just caught up in the hype. Quit being a faggot.
sorry but this isnt 1980 anymore. Go look at the new GM vehicles.
Is that why GM cars are now rated generaly equal too, and in the case of some models, better than their foreign compitition in long term reliability, and initial quality?
have you taken a look at Nissan lately for example. they've been making a mess of themselves. Hyundai tries to make a nice looking car, but they are still not as reliable as many Ford products. Kia? You've got to be kidding me.
The UAW are a bunch of crooks that knew they had the American auto companies by the balls and decided to choke every last breath out of them. Fucking morons don't know not to bite the hand that feeds them.
