:eek3: Determining level of want. I need so much lighting gear though, I really shouldn't be buying more lenses :hs:

I've been needing a good wideish/mid zoom for a while, but haven't felt motivated to drop the $400 for the tamron. this is awesome timing

Well, they got 300+ orders for that lens, which is way more than the 115 they were able to get from ProMaster

However, they just placed an order for some Tamron 17-50's w/out the built-in-motor and are offering it for $239. I just called up and put in my order. Keep in mind, this is the same lens that comes with the motor, but without the motor. Still awesome glass and actually won't have the focusing issues of the newer models.

The girl (who sounded pretty cute) said they should ship Friday or Monday.

DON'T FREAKIN GO TELL EVERYBODY ABOUT THIS PLEASE. I'm just making sure my OTAP brethren are on the up-and-up
